Fri., May 30, 7-9p.m.

Bring an appetizer, dessert or wine from a foreign country of your choice to share (Ireland, Poland, Japan, Germany, Greece, Italy, France, Spain ...) AND dress in any way you can think of for a foreign country (you needn't spend any money on this--anything you use with a little creativity will work fine)!

Prizes awarded for most votes during the night for Most Authentic, Most Creative and Most Fun in dress.

Also, wrap a white elephant or less than $5 gift for a swap game of "Foreign Exchange!" If you're from China, you could bring chopsticks, or from Scotland a plaid oven mitt or a Scottie dog magnet. Have fun with it.

Bring a friend or come make one. Laurie Willey will host at her home in Newmarket.

RSVP by May 25th so we can give the hostess a headcount. Directions will be posted or emailed closer to the date.

Gretchen that sounds great! For gift ideas, there are a lot of Spanish textiles, pottery, ceramics and glass-made things, or of course maracas ;^) or hand shakers (what are those things called?), also Spain has a lot of nice food items such as good olive oil, spices, nuts, Manchego or other Spanish cheeses, olives, sangria fixin's ...? I'm sure there are other things someone else might think of too (and Abode used to carry a lot of Spanish textiles and art items).

I'm bringing a Spanish wine and will attempt a Flamenco look despite the over-riding Swedish genes. Gift gift gift? Any suggestions?

Hi Peter, I'm glad you're interested, but sorry to say this is a Girls Nite. Hope to see you at the next event though!
