For our next book we'll be starting Peter Kreeft's condensed version of St. Thomas Aquinas's Summa Theologica, "Summa of the Summa." Despite the heavy material, Kreeft adds VERY helpful footnotes explaining what Aquinas means. We'll start with the first two sections which cover Aquinas's defense of theology as a science and his classic arguments for the existence of God. The book may be hard to find in bookstores. You can get it on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com... . Don't be worried about the big size--we'll just be covering a small bit of it for now.

Aquinas's full Summa Theologica is also online at CCEL or New Advent (unfortunately you won't get the helpful footnotes from the book!). The relevant sections are:

    •  Although I think it was good to read this selection, it ended up being a little difficult to connect with. The members of the group are still great though.
