This month we are going for a little more light-hearted read. After homelessness, orphans, and murder we are headed to the Sierra Madre's in Mexico for cowboys, Indians, outlaws, drugs, a little shootin' and some funny, funny travel writing. I'll bet you've never seen a Western like this:

God's Middle Finger: Into the Lawless Heart of the Sierra Madre
by Richard Grant

Grant, a travel writer from England, is obsessed with the Sierra Madre mountains in Mexico and he wants to travel through them. Despite warnings of drugs, gangs, and men who just like killin', Grant heads off into the mountains and hopes for the best. Grant's story is full or wry humor, but he does not let that humor detract from his travels through a land where the modern and the old West clash.

When you get people who like to read, like to talk, and like to drink at one table, an enjoyable outcome is inevitable. Looking forward to next month.
