For June, we will be reading "The Living End" by Stanley Elkin. Some guy on Amazon.com calls it "better than the bible and twice as accurate". We can't go wrong!

For July, we're hoping to identify a non-threatening non-fiction work on Islam and the history of what is commonly referred to as "the Middle East". Here are some initial t houghts:

* "Islam: A Short History" by Karen Armstrong.

I really wanted to read this one and see you all again, darn it! Just didn't have time with school coming to a close. My teacher duties will be done soon and I'll reconnect then. "Towing Jehova" was a kick. Sorry to miss that discussion as well.

    •  This was a fantastic read: quick, engaging, poetic, hilarious, and thought-provoking. A very small group this time around, but we had a great conversation!
