I am finding myself having a hard time connecting the Adeline that is sitting infront of Margaret dictating her story to the Adeline within the story. How can such a devil of a child become an emotion-provoking, language savvy best selling author??

I keep having this feeling of impending doom in the story - something really bad is going to happen...
