So why start a book club? The history of this book club goes back to the summer of 2007!!! My younger sister and I spent the most amazing time together one night. I felt that I had met this girl for the very first time. She was sarcastic, beautiful, funny, exciting-- all of which, I had failed to notice while growing up together. Here we were, women, and I felt that for the very first time I made a connection with someone. I learned that she loved to read. I, personally, felt quite silly being that I am an English teacher and should be able to pick up on readers. So we began a book club. Our first book was the Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls; we both love non-fiction! We came up with the name together. My sister came up with the reunited! and I added the [ad] to read "Re[ad]-united". This club has a very sentimental history and is very important to me. I am seeking to share this same feeling I had on that summer night, when I met this wonderful person I never knew existed. I am looking to bring people together through reading and sharing stories! If this is what you are looking for, you have come to the right place. Join us!! We welcome you with open books!
