Introduction
As an English major and then English teacher who has gone corporate, I really miss reading and sharing books for pure joy. I look forward to meeting other avid readers and discussing books.
What are your favorite books?
Wicked, Boy's Life, Paula, The House on Mango Street, everything by Steinbeck - particularly The Acts of King Arthur and His Noble Knights: his correspondence while writing the work is facinating and make me love him even more.
What are you reading right now?
Two books: Wicked - one of my favorite books for it's multiple themes and layers - like Moby Dick, but readable. And, Breaking Dawn. Okay, yes, I've been sucked into the Twiglight series. Hey, don't judge me! At least I'm honest!
Where do you live?
Greenpoint, Brooklyn
Fiction or nonfiction?
Prefer fiction, but enjoy nonfiction that is narrative. Definitely burnt out on business books and am not big on self-help books.
