THE RAFFLE IS POSTPONED! The raffle is rescheduled for June 7 and will be held at Clarksburg Day at the high school. Check my website for details. The meeting is still on for tomorrow at 6pm - 7pm. After 7pm the coffee shop will have a band, so talking will be limited, but you're welcome to stay. We can use this time to organize future meetings and decide what we want from it. I will have autographed copies of Jeff Kinney's books available.

Raffle:
There are only 3 sets of cut-outs, 1 for Jeff, 1 for his brother, and 1 for the raffle. They are approximately 4 feet tall, and are just like the FatHead decals that stick to the wall, but can be moved without damaging the surface. The Wimpy Kid series (5 titles in all) is a huge bestseller. A movie deal is almost complete now that the second book is solidly on the bestseller list. The producer is the one who worked on Pirates of the Caribbean. The third book is due in January and since his family is local, I plan on getting him scheduled now for an event next year.

To give the members of this group a chance at winning the cut-outs, I will try to get a raffle ticket on my website by Monday - http://www.novelplace.... Each ticket will count for one character. The drawing, and meeting, will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 6pm. It's also part of a "block party" of the shopping center. There will be a band and wine tasting. I doubt this will be a formal meeting since I will be selling autographed copies of both titles. At some point, we can meet to discuss future meetings (times, themes, etc.). Maybe around the sale table.
