So many book or film clubs focus on the fiction, poetry, or novel side of things. This meet-up is for lovers of non-fiction. Be it political tomes, biographies, memoirs, travelogues, philosophical literature...the possibilities are endless. This is a group for those who love the "truthiness" of real-life literature and film, and love to look into worlds unseen.

We are consideing starting things off by the memoir "Dry" by Augusten Burroughs, author of the darkly funny memoir "Running With Scissors. It is a humerous, tense, deeply moving and effective memoir about a young, tallented advertising executive's struggle to go sober.

However, we will have a vote at the first meeting and take other nominations, so anyone who loves non-fiction, please join our group! Other possibilities are "Me to We", "No Logo", "Dishwasher" and others.

The books we read will be nominated by group members, then picked by group consensus.

We will also be incorporating documentary film viewings as well very soon, which should be even more fun
