Introduction: Hello. I throughly enjoy cooking, reading and meeting new people so this group seems like a natural for me. Additionaly I'm also an active volunteer and enjoy the outdoors and American History.
Describe yourself and your life.: I am a 54 year old male. I have worked in the municipal drinking water supply field for over 30 years. I am very active in my community as a volunteer and have served on my towns Board of Trustees. I also have a love for the outdoors and history.
What is your favorite, local restaurant?: Currently it's Bistro Maisonette in Bloomingdale. The service and food are excellent and I enjoy the ambiance.
What are you looking for in a Meetup group?: The opportunity to meet new people and discuss books and food.
What is your favorite food and why?: I love fish due to the many varieties and the fact that it is normally a healthy choice.
What is your favorite book and why?: This is very hard to answer but I will say The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara. It was very deserving of the Pulitzer it won and as an American history buff it was a joy to read.
