I am a mostly-stay-at-home mom to a new baby boy, and had been looking for a book club to join for quite some time. Problem is, most clubs I found were either already full, or meet on weekends or evenings when I am usually busy with family stuff.
So I decided to start a women's book club that meets on Friday afternoons around 2pm, once or twice a month. We already have a great group of women who are a sincere pleasure to have conversations with, as well as hang out with. For the most part, we seem to enjoy the same types of books.
Occasionally I plan to suggest books that are being made into movies, so we can organize a trip to the movie together and go out for coffee or a meal afterward to discuss how they compared!
We meet on the patio at Le Boulanger Cafe and Bakery on Mathilda Ave. in Sunnyvale. Babies are welcome, since I understand how it is!
** I will be limiting the number of members in this group, to keep it intimate. If you are not a current member, you can submit your membership for consideration, and if our average meeting attendance can handle more people, you will be approved. **
