Meeting fee

AUD2.00 per person

The meeting next Thursday 12 June 2008.

As per the message board, we will be discussing the book "Life of Pii", selected at our last meeting and we will be picking the next book.

A AU$2 donation would be appreciated by each member attending the meeting to help cover the running costs of the group.

I am happy to spend my time and organise the group out of nothing but love, but the website charges me US$45 per every three months to use this website as an organising tool.

Your AU$2 contribution will be small but appreciated and help me offset that cost.

HI Guys, sorry an urgent work commitment has come up today that need to attend to and unfortunately cannot make tonights meeting. I absolutely loved Life of Pi, even though a bit gory at times, wasn't a book that I would have picked but glad i read it. Let me know what the book chose for next meeting and i'll definitely be there. Thanks.

I've started reading Life of Pi and find it fascinating - as well as the storyline, there's a lot of information about animals and religion I didn't know about. As with all good books the author's done his research well.

Was a book chosen for the June meeting?

Who attended?

    •  This is a group of really friendly and interesting people from all over the world. There was so much to chat about which distracted from the book discussion a bit this time around but I am sure we will be more focused next month! I really enjoyed this meeting and am looking forward to the next meeting.
    •  Food and atmosphere were good, and some stimulating conversation about the book too.
    •  Lisa, the organiser is a really cool chick with loads of smile and friendliness. The group was very welcoming. I had such a nice time!
    •  It was everything I hoped it would be. We not only discussed the book and possibilities for next time, I also really enjoyed meeting everyone, having a chat and coming away with a big list of books and films that people have suggested that I can't wait to get my teeth in to. Good fun.
    •  It was good to meet new members and hear different points of view. Interesting night.
    •  Enjoyable. Friendly people. Good suggestions for future book choices.
