Introduction
Hi, I like the sound of this book club, I read The life of Pi a few years back now and enjoyed it immensely. I'd like to read it again and come along to get a fresh perspective. If you've still got room, drop me a line, Simon.
What type of books are you interested in? Who are your favourite authors?

My favourite author is John Steinbeck, although the favourite book I've read recently was The Master and Margareta by Michael Bulgarov. I've just finished Papilon.

  • “ Hi Simon. I live in Brighton East. It's only about 15-20 mins into the city. I know there are not many people in my position but we just moved here in January so it's early days. I've only just been in a position to really get out and about the past month or so. Moving interstate with a family is quite a big move! But it's been great. I mostly hang out with mums at the school but it would be nice to meet women my own age as I said in my last post ... I just realised I'm repeating myself! Sorry! ”

  • “ Hi Simon. Weeknights are not good for me really. I have a lot of free time during the day as I work from home and therefore flexible with my hours. I have a husband and 12yo step-daughter so weeknights and most of the weekend I like to spend with them. Writing as I'm sure you've heard can be a lonely task and apart from the mums at the school my step-daughter attends, I don't know anyone nearer my age without children that love movies as much as I do, even (especially) the silly romantic ones! ”
