I have fire engine red hair. Trust me, it's hard to miss me.

This month we will be discussing Upton Sinclair's 1906 classic, The Jungle.

This muckracking masterpiece stands as one of America's greatest indictments of persecution. It tells the story of Jurgus Rudkus, Lithuanian immigrant who, in hopes of finding the American Dream, is instead faced with a brutal, soul crushing urban jungle dominated by greedy bosses, pitiless conmen, and corrupt politicians.

Hope to see you there!!!

Well, that's an interesting take on The Jungle, but I like to think that the gross cruelty to human beings makes one more upset. Great topic for discussion though.
