This evening, we will return to Fusia, an excellent pan-Asian restaurant in east-Midtown, near the 4, 5, 6, E, V, N, W, and R subway lines. Menu: http://fusia56.com/ (note: the actual menu is much more extensive than what they have online). Flying on the cheap: hobbyists are flying in small lawn chairs attached to a large number of small helium balloons. http://www.environme ntalgraffiti.com/fea tured/cluster-balloo ning-helium-baloons- strapped-to-chair/88 23 One thing about the video, all the visible white "smoke" you see billowing out of the plant the pilot is protesting against isn't C02, it's steam coming out of the cooling towers. There's a new type of lie-detector coming out, it may be used in a court case soon. http://blog.wired.co m/wiredscience/2009/ 03/noliemri.html This article does not mention, but Wikipedia does, that on Mythbusters 1 of 3 test subjects was able to fool this machine. We'll be having Mexican food at Mi Nidito, a pleasant little place not far from Times Square. It you're on a budget, you can get a pair of burritos or enchiladas for $14, and some appetizers are less than that, but most entrees are more like $17-$22. The fajitas are AWESOME. Menus are available at http://www.miniditoo nline.com/minidito/m edia/websiteminidito .html NASA is talking a lot about sending humans to Mars. Is this really a good idea? We can find out everything we want to know much more cheaply by sending robots, and furthermore, unlike humans, robots don't have to come back, potentially bringing dangerous microbes with them. http://www.economist .com/opinion/display story.cfm?story_id=1 2972659 Obama says he'll close Gitmo. Interestingly, Ann is against abortion, I don't know how she reconciles that. http://www.humaneven ts.com/article.php?i d=30570
