We'll be doing Ethiopian food again this time. Ethiopian is a bit like Indian or Thai, but not as spicy. Instead of rice, you get sheets of spongy bread with your food, and you tear off pieces of bread and use them to pick up food with your hands -- it's a lot of fun! The first topic will be "Six Geniuses Who Saw Their Inventions Go Terribly Wrong" http://www.cracked.com/article_17186_6-geniuses-who-saw-their-inventions-go-terribly-wrong.html

The second topic will be a Washington Post article about how Abu Zubaida, an Al-Qaeda terrorist who we caught within a year of 9/11 and tortured extensively, turned out to be a much smaller fish than we thought. Interesting how the title of the article describes him as a "Detainee" rather than a "Terrorist" while the article itself makes it clear he was doing everything he could to help Al-Qaeda. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/28/AR2009032802066.html Optional extra reading on this on the message board.

The last topic will be another Washington Post article showing that children brought up in stressful households tend to be dumber. As far as I can tell, the study only covered children raised by their biological parents. So could it be that the child's household was stressful because the parents, like the child, had genes for lower intelligence? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/04/05/AR2009040501719.html?sub=AR
