About Miami Secular Humanists Book Club Meetup

We organized the first secular humanist meetup. It took 6 weeks of interplay with the heads of meetup websites to get the word "secular" approved to go with "humanist' already in use as a topic. This meetup is an offshoot of that first one, the second of three we are allowed to create without added charge. Lots of our members don't want to be as active as those who attend our social events. We have at least 2 social events a month. For busy moms and teachers and grad students thats sometimes too much. We hope they will find this book club easier to attend and interesting educational and challenging.
Our members are young, they joke calling me the godfather of secular humanism but they keep me on my toes and thinking. Our members are challenging us to start the first humanist charity in South Florida wouldn't that be wonderful?.
