I started Good food, fine wine and great books because all the other book clubs that I've attended did not eat! We meet roughly about once a month to discuss a book over dinner. I try to match the restaurant to the book. We discussed Middlesex over Greek fare in the Village. We met at a Vegetarian restaurant to discuss a book in which the main character was a vegan.

Each member takes turn and picks a book. So we get to read different genre. What could be better than reading and enjoying a book that you would never have pick for yourself?

We have about a half dozen regulars who religiously come to all meetings. But we also love having new voices and opinions at the table. So if you love to read and love to eat, join us. We'll nourish our tummy, brains and frienship.

What members are saying

It was great to share my opinion about the book as well as hear others' perspectives too. We also had some really good food too...

Sharing a meal with great people and discussing great literature on a week night, how can you top that?
