DATE CHANGE: Detroit Democracy for America Book Club February Meetup

Feb 19
Tue 7:30 PM
Location
This location is shown only to members
Who attended?
Estimated attendance:  8  people attended.

UPDATE: Moving to Tuesday 2/19 (I caught a cold)

Sorry to those who can only make Mondays, but I have to move the meetup to the third Tuesday in February due to a course I am taking for 6 weeks. If you haven't been able to make the meeting because of Mondays, then maybe the move to Tuesday is a nice opportunity for you to join us!

Back to politics!

The February book is sure to be a rich discussion especially now that we are in the trenches of a Presidential Election Year. The book we will be discussing is:

Title: The Conscience of a Liberal
By: Paul Krugman

Krugman is an excellent author, economist, and also columnist for the NY Times. "This book, written with Krugman?s trademark ability to explain complex issues simply, will transform the debate about American social policy in much the same way as did John Kenneth Galbraith?s deeply influential book The Affluent Society." writes one review of this compelling work. Krugman is a great author to read and I'm sure will provide some lively discussion as we see who truly embodies the Conscience of a Liberal in today's current political race.
