The Pollyanna Glad Club strives to keep this a safe, cheerful, and encouraging community. Here we take responsibility for our own actions and promote behaviors that will create more positive interactions with others around us. To keep our site an upbeat place we do have a few rules that you will need to scrupulously observe.

1) Follow the terms of service agreement of Meetup.com, with special attention to the policy regarding abuse and profanity. Inappropriate content will be removed; members involved in inappropriate behavior may also be removed.

2) Jokes, songs, stories, quotes, and other posted materials that contribute to the good cheer and encouragement of members are welcome.

3) We hope that you will open a personal glad journal, if only to remind yourself and others what there is to be glad about. You can even share stories about your struggles to stay glad. We'll try to stop by and encourage you on a tough day.

4) Offensive language (including curse words that are masked by alternate characters) and indecent comments/materials are not permitted anywhere on this site. It's not that we never curse or tell off color stories, but that this isn't the place for it. We get plenty of that elsewhere.

5) Trolling, accusations and ad hominum attacks are not permitted. Violators will be removed from membership.

6) If you need to vent about anyone or anything you should post your thoughts on the "Kick the Dog" thread. All "Kick the Dog" posts will eventually be removed, because the entire point the thread is to vent and to get over it.

7) Stinkin' thinkin' and discouraging talk are not permitted except in your own personal glad journal threads (not on the threads of others) or the "Kick the Dog" thread. Violations of this policy will result in a warning for the first occurrence. Subsequent violations will result in the removal of the member. The idea here is to encourage each other.

8) There are no refunds of fees, dues or contributions, regardless of member status.
