WHAT TO READ? WHAT TO READ?

For readers, it is a constant question. It's comparable to a kid being turned loose in a candy store - the choices are overwhelming so you eat and eat until you think you will burst.
How many of us have stacks of books by the bed? And perhaps one or two in the car? And ladies, do we not all drag books with us in our purses?

We are UNLIKE other groups as we read a new book and meet EVERY TWO WEEKS. Members send in suggestions for books and we plan our book reading as far as month out. And it works for us. We are consistently diligent and committed to this bookclub.

Growing up, the slogan was RIF - Reading is Fundamental. For me, it was more like Reading is Fun.
Especially when you share the magic with others. Breaking down books and and the ideas behind them was always great fun for me in high school - everyone has different perceptions of what the book was all about. Some were way out, some were funny, some were thought provoking.

I challenge all of you to continue reading and come to our meetings with an open mind and a good sense of humor!
