Howdy Folks!

We are heading back to Honey's for our meetup this month. This location was fantastic for our April meetup, and should serve us well for this month. The food at this little BYO is good and cheap, the music is just right, and the service is great. With that our book for this month is The Abstinence Teacher, by Tom Perrotta. This book was on many best books of the year lists for 2007. Time magazine has called Perrotta the Steinbeck of Suburbia. The NY Times stated that Perrotta is a truth-telling, unshowy chronicler of modern-day America: the strong, silent type on paper. Perrotta also wrote Election and Little Children, both went on to be really good films. I'm really looking forward to this book. Hope to see a bunch of you at the meetup.
