We read the graphic novel, discussed it as a group and now we have an opportunity to see the big screen interpretation at The Electric Cinema.

The screening starts at 8.30, we will be having drinks at The Green Room Cafe Bar (Hurst Street, opposite The Hippodrome Theatre) from 7pm

Tickets can be booked online or take your chances on the night...standard seating or a sofa with bar waiter service if you are feeling more extravagant.

Film synopsis
An expressionistic animation stunningly drawn in black and white, PERSEPOLIS is a touching coming-of-age story about an intelligent, outspoken girl growing up during the Iranian revolution. Paronnaud and Satrapi?s debut feature tells of how fundamentalists seized power, forced the veil on women and imprisoned thousands of dissidents. The film is based on Satrapi?s series of graphic novels and her childhood experiences in Iran
