Welcome to the Stamford Book Discussion group! Our group welcomes guys and gals who are willing to provide insight, appreciation and different perspectives on each book, whether we liked or disliked it.

***NOTE: PLEASE, please everyone read and follow policy #2 below! The last 3 or 4 meetings have been fully RSVPd, but then 5-6 people don't show up. This is disappointing to the people who want to attend if someone cancels.****

We're an informal, friendly group but we do have a few policies, based on member's requests, to make the discussions as enjoyable as possible:

(1) Everyone attending a meeting should have completed least 80% of the book. It dilutes the conversation and give & take between everyone if some attendees haven't read the book since they're unable to discuss the plot, characters, scenes, etc.

(2) Please make every effort to attend the meetings if you've replied YES. Certainly, things come up at the last minute, so it's understandable that there may be occasional cancellations, but please let email me by 6:00 so that we don't delay the start of the discussion.

(3) To help defray the organizer's Meetup charges, each attendee is asked to pay $2 per meeting.
