If you're new to comics or a lifelong fan, you'll enjoy our monthly meetings to discuss the great and near great of graphic novels. Comics for adults are a burgeoning art form that any literate person should familiarize themselves with.
Each month, a different club member picks a selection that we'll all read and discuss at our monthly meetings. We've been meeting for about two years now, and we've already discussed works written and drawn by Dan Clowes, Chris Ware, Neil Gaiman, Marjane Satrapi, Scott McCloud, Will Eisner, Scott Thompson, Art Spiegelman, Brian Bendis, Dave Sim and Seth among others. Join in on the exploration of our favorite medium.
For those of you whose reading tastes tend toward the more so-called "mainstream" of the medium - Y: The Last Man, Hellblazer, 20 Days of Night, X-Men, Batman - we've just created a second book club for those kinds of books. Click over to join Prime Cuts: Graphic Novels for the Rapacious Reader at http://www.meetup.com/Mainstream-graphic-novel-book-club/
. Or join both; you can't get enough variety of comics conversation.

It has also inspired a museum exhibit of original art right in our backyard. Read more
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
