If you're new to comics or a lifelong fan, you'll enjoy our monthly meetings to discuss the great and near great of graphic novels. Comics for adults are a burgeoning art form that any literate person should familiarize themselves with.

We've been meeting for about two years now (since it all started outside of the meetup.com walls), and we've already discussed works written and drawn by Dan Clowes, Chris Ware, Neil Gaiman, Marjane Satrapi, Scott McCloud, Will Eisner, Scott Thompson, Brian Bendis, Dave Sim and Seth among others. Join in on the exploration of our favorite medium.

Want to attend?

One of our newer members Lorreen wanted to shift gears from our recent run of troubled, young protagonists and read a graphic novel with more visual flair. So she's picked a book by one of comics great yarn spinners - Kim Deitch's Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Read more

I love comics and I want to meet like-minded people. Plus getting exposed to graphic novels I haven't heard of is a major plus.

I was part of the embryonic group in '06 before the Meetup development. The prodigal member returns if you'll have me. lol. This time I'm home to stay w/ something to offer. Graphic novels, pre-'45 comics strips, Comic Art mag. What else matters?

I love comics. I love talking about comics. I love learning about new comics that I may not be aware of or have not read yet. Oh, and I'm really social and would love meeting other folks into sequential art.... :)
