What were your favorite books this year?

Just read "Cries in the Drizzle", by Yu Hua. Was wonderful and heartbreaking, but a good look into life in China during the Mao era. I was happily surprised by "The Memory Keeper's Daughter", by Kim Edwards.

What types of books do you enjoy?

Mysteries and novels about real life.
