The location of this meetup will be the Borders Books in Emeryville. We will likely meet at one of the tables right outside, unless the weather is unfavorable. In which case, there is a cafe inside, or an indoor food court right next door, which the back entrance of the bookstore exits into.

Let's share ideas & thoughts about readings in the field of cognitive science and other related disciplines (such as evolutionary psychology or neuroscience).

Recent meetings have included discussions of several of Steven Pinker's books, a bit about Daniel Dennett's writing, and anything else that has struck our fancy. At this next meeting I would be interested to hear about any reading anyone has done about the field of neuroeconomics. I have just purchased several books on the subject, and am just beginning to delve into them.
