Liberal Book Club Meetup Group

"Propaganda is to a democracy what the bludgeon is to a totalitarian state" - a thought that's perhaps more true today than when Noam Chomsky wrote it. If you think it would be fun to get together once in a while with some other free thinkers and read stuff that has more democracy and less propaganda - this could be the group for you. Academics like Chomsky and Zinn, works like Common Sense and the Federalist Papers, and more news-oriented authors like Greg Palast and Amy Goodman would all be interesting options to read and share ideas about. Hopefully this group will help us inform ourselves about some of the ideas and information that are shaping the progressive side of the debate, in a fun and lively way.
