Hi Trisha (and other people who may have the same question), In our meetings, we decided to alternate between light and heavy classics. The plan is to have two light, then one heavy meeting. In heavy meetings, we will read classics that are both more difficult to read, and just long. Don Quixote is the first book for these meetings (Iliad is the second), and the first meeting date has not yet been set, but we will probably discuss the first quarter of it at the first meeting. The light meetings come in between. Slaughterhouse Five is our next meeting. It may or may not be followed by another light meeting before we have the first Don Quixote meeting. The reason we decided to do it this way is that we don't want to have many meetings in a row for a heavy classic, as this may shake off people who didn't get in on it from the beginning. But we do want to read these types of books. I think (and people seemed to agree) that it is easier to digest when you mix it with lighter reads on the way. And, this will give people a chance to actually come to a meeting quickly after they join the group. Looking forward to seeing everybody on Sunday Astrid Quoting Trisha <[address removed]>: > Hello! > I just joined your book group and I gave an RSVP for your next meetup, but I > was a little unsure of the book list.
