Read the Classics - The 1001 Books Challenge
|
If you would like to read those books that you feel you ought to have read but have never gotten around to it, then this is the group for you. Book selections will be chosen from "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die," edited by Peter Boxall. The complete list of books, which comprises selections in many genres from the 1600s-2000s, is in the Files section; those we have chosen to read can be found on the Reading List, also in the Files section. Hope you can join us!

Our next meeting:
All Quiet on the Western Front
This month's selection from the 1001 Books list is "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque. Written in 1929, the book is considered a classic of antiwar literature. Should make for an interesting discussion.
Ideas for future selections are welcome. Reading lists are posted in the Files section. Read more
