Introduction
My interest in this group is to gain new insight as to how I can further lessen my impact on the planet, and how I can help others to do the same.
How did you begin to develop a global sensibility?

When I first started backpacking many years ago, there was a saying "leave only footprints, take only memories", the concept being to have minimum impact in order to preserve the ecosystem.

How are you thinking globally and acting locally?

I've developed a community garden where I work, buy 100% WindSource, compost, recycle, drive a Prius (as little as possible), and am a vegan. I'm interested in reducing energy consumption at my job and at my home as much as possible.
