This group sounds fascinating. I love reading about other cultures and I love to eat : ) I also appreciate the idea of having a book club that reads books a little off the beaten path.
What is your favorite book (or books if you love too many to decide), and why?
I can't decide on just one. I love books written about interesting time periods or cultures (real or imagined), especially those with a sense of adventure; or at least extremely entertaining.

I typically read science fiction and non-fiction but I have an open mind.

I live in San Francisco with my boyfriend and our two dogs, we moved here one year ago. I am an acupuncturist and am studying the Japanese language. I have been known to do all day book reading marathons...
