Hello,
I am new to Santa Fe, love reading, and would like to initiate a book club whereby Santa Fe readers could meet up and discuss contemporary literature (and perhaps read and discuss older works sometimes). A few recent publications that sound of interest to me include Amy Bloom's "Away" and Lydia Davis's "Varieties of Disturbance." I do have a tendency to gravitate to works written by contemporary women writers, but will not discount, of course, the work of men! Helen Simpson's "Getting a Life" also sounds intriguing, as does Nick Flynn's "Another Bullshit Night in Suck City" (recommended to me by some former students). I see this group as for intrepid readers who are willing from time to time to be offended. Let me know if you are interested. Book suggestions would be welcome from those interested in participating.

Directions to Katherine's:
Take Bishops Lodge Road about 3 or so miles up from Washington Street until you see the entrance to the resort on your right. Directly across the street on the left is Lamy Road. Take that left and go through the gate, which should be unlocked (if it is locked, dial 40 and Katherine will open it for you). Read more
