Introduction
I devour the Science Fiction/Fantasy book genre. Some of the horror appeals to me as well. I have in the past an odd way to chose a book to read. It literally would have to smell pleasant to me, or the book wouldn't be one of those I enjoyed. WHY?
Do you devour your books, read them, or just wait for osmosis to kick in?

Devour

How often do you typically read books?

Two or three a month

Where do you get your inspiration to read/try a new author?

My sense of smell.

Who are your favorite authors?

David Eddings, David Weber, Katherine Kurtz, Patricia Kinnealy, just about anyone... Ardath Mayhar, Ann Maxwell.. though she writes romance novels as Jo Clayton and hasn't been adding to her SciFi World.

In what city and town do you live?

Vancouver, WA

  •  thank you Micheil! Yeah, I think the classics rock. the schools make a big mistake cramming the things down our throats when we're kids and have no life experience. we don't understand and we hate them. But coming to them as adults is such a rich find I think. I really like French literature: Voltaire, Balzac, Stendahl (sp?)

  •  Micheil,

I am just happy to be part of this monthly exciting literary adventure topped with soulful sprinkles of "human touch" every question, comment and thought along the way.

Appreciate your leadership and the kind words,

  •  Yes, what a great discussion last night. So lively! I agree I think we could have kept going for another hour or two. I'm really looking forward to next time!
