Mikhail Veller is one of the most seminal and well-known contemporary Russian writers. He enjoys truly cult following since mid-70s. In his life, he tried literally dozens of carriers (he was a yard keeper, sailor, carpenter, cattle driver, to name the few), and this experience informs his writing and sensitivies. Lives in Estonia and Moscow.
