Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson is an inspiring account of one man's campaign to build over 50 schools, mostly for girls, in remote Taliban-infested Afghanistan, Pakistan and other dangerous, anti-American nations in Asia. Publishers Weekly said "captivating and suspenseful, with engrossing accounts of both hostilities and unlikely friendships, this book will win many readers' hearts." “ I liked the book very much and would not have read it if it had not been for the Nonfiction Reading Club. As I listened to the discussion, I realized that the author had diefied Greg Mortonsen and in retrospect I wonder if he had ever been to Pakistan, let alone with Greg Mortonsen. I was less taken by Mortonsen after the discussion than I was after I read the book, and I am grateful to the discussion group for bringing those thoughts out in my mind. ” -
