Introduction
I am very excited about the non-fiction focus of this book club. Non-fiction excites me because it is reflective, diverse and curious about the world. The upcoming meetup book selections sound great. Look forward to it!
what's your favorite book and/or author?

I love biographies and writings on travel and culture. Joan Didion and Annie Dillard have been favorites since college. Recently, books about the history and culture of the Middle East have interested me (Iran Awakening, A Peace to End All Peace).
