Our next meeting:
Bookclub Meeting:
Hi Everyone,
I should have posted this much sooner. Since only one person has inquired about the next meeting it seems that this posting was not missed very much. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at Borders on Tuesday evening!
Based on the expected weather, mentioned in the last meeting minutes posting, we will be meeting at Borders as usual.
Happy reading!
Jason

What's New?

"Hi Mandy, Welcome to the book club! We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting. Jason"
-
"Hey Mandy, welcome to the book club. Currently we are reading Frankenstein and Confessions of a failed southern lady. Hope to see you at our next meeting!"
-
"Hey Jason! There is some confusion over where we are meeting on the 15th. The usual, Borders, or VT Pub & Brewery? Could you please confirm for us where we are meeting? Thanks! Isis"
-
"Hey Deb, Glad to have you join us! This is a very great group of people, with the group growing slowly but surely. Any and all opinions are welcome, so don't feel shy. And as Chris said, feel free to come even if you haven't had a chance to finish (or start) the book. Hope to see you at the meeting - which I had in my date book as being at the VT Pub & Brewery (though I have my concerns about noise there...it was a group decision to try something new, I think). Let's ask Jason to confirm!"
-
"Welcome Robin! This month we read "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. Great book and you still have time to read it before we meet next week. We hope to see you there - from your list of groups it seems as if you will have some interesting opinions to share about the readings! Welcome again, Isis"
-
"Hi Jason...I'm guessing that we are reading The Time Travelor's Wife. Is that accurate? I'm not sure why it doesn't list the book on the website (or maybe I'm just not looking in the right place). Thanks!!"
-
"Welcome to the book club. We're currently reading The Time Traveler's Wife. Feel free to come even if you haven't read it (I'll make enough uninformed comments to make everyone look like a professor). There's some disagreement over where the next meeting is; It will be 4/15, 7:00 pm, either at Borders or VT Pub and Brewery. So stay tuned for location."
-
"I love to read...it would be great to meet other people with the same passion. I am a busy piano teacher, and I really hope to be able to fit this into my schedule. Look forward to meeting you all."
-
"Hey Jason...sorry I havent been getting messages about the meetings and had no idea what we were reading or when we were meeting next. Keep me posted about the next meeting and book as I'd love to get back in to the swing of things."
-
"Hey everyone, it was nice meeting some of you last night. I am excited to discuss more books with you!"
-
"Sorry you weren't able to make it this evening Lara, but we do look forward to meeting you at the next meeting, which is set for April 15th (a break from taxes!). Check the site for the book we selected and the location planned for next month! See you then! Isis"
-
"Thanks so much for your greetings! I am not going to make tomorrow's meeting but I can't wait to meet everyone in the next go round!"
-
"I moved here a couple years ago and miss being in a book club! I am really looking forward to meeting new people who also love to read!"
-
"After a long stint of academia I'm figuring out what the life of a Burlingtonian offers. Originally from Vermont, but lived in Montreal for some time and Beijing briefly. Interested in philosophy, theory, cooking, travel, languages, and much more."
-
"I recently moved to Middlebury from Florida (please, don't ever move there. Ever.), but I'm originally from Boston. I'm a journalist and writer by trade, and love to read (and talk incessantly about books). Looking forward to it!"
-
"Hi, new to this group. I live in Burlington. love people . grew up being surrounded by books. later Micha "
-
"Hi, A coworker and I are interested in joining the book club. When is the next meeting?"
-
These are some of my favorites. I'm sure I forgot some, I'm sorry!
-
"I'm looking to get involved in some new things and meet some new people."
