Hi Parents! I recently enjoyed The Inheritance of Loss and am working on One Hundred Years of Solitude. I look forward to hearing what literature you are reading and meeting you and your kids in person!
Have you ever been in a book reading group before? What were some of the things you liked or didn't like?

I am currently in three (including this one) and have been in a few in th past. I like the interaction with other smart moms. I was in one club where the organizer always picked the books, so I'm trying to avoid that here.

What are some of the books you read in 2007 and what would you like to read in 2008?

I read The Inheritance of Loss, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Snow (again), The Yiddish Policemen's Union, and some Gabriel Garcia Marquez, most recently. I would like to read 'The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao' and anything by Allende.
