Milwaukee Self-Management Book Review

Self-help books work best when they are used has one element in a comprehensive campaign for change.

Purchasing a book is a positive first step, but it isn't enough. A plan of action is needed.

Research has shown that when people set out to change their lives, partnerships and peer support add accountability to the efforts.

Self-help readers who go it alone without an idea sounding board often find themselves locked in their old, non-productive and unhappy thoughts.

The Milwaukee Self-Management Book Review will select titles from the New York Times Hardcover Advice Bestseller list and initiate a group discussion about what's being read.

This group will help readers stay honest in their own life quests. Discussions will serve as a comparison between, and analysis of, differing expert opinions within the personal growth arena. Members will learn to apply what they've read, and make it work in a way that is meaningful for them personally.
