We meet monthly to discuss the book or books of the month. As the name suggests, the meetings will be around the Fitzroy - Collingwood area, somewhere we can enjoy a beer, wine or coffee too! No limits on genre, if the book is good we'll give it a go. We have a pretty good mix of people so usually lots of interesting discussion and opinions but nothing too serious. You can always get a few recommendations for a new book or two! A book club is a great way to meet new people if you are new in …
This group is currently closed to new members as we are at capacity. If you would like to join, please check back in a few months as I will reopen if attendance at meetups drops. I decided to start a book club as I couldn't find a book group around the west that interested me. The group is fairly democratic (I hope the members would agree) and whilst I'm happy to be the organiser I don't see myself as a facilitator or want to be the one making all of the decisions. The group will meet on th …
New to Melbourne? Or just want to discuss great books with like minded friends? This group was started because there's nothing better than sharing a great book. Come to laugh, have fun and exchange stories over a glass or two! From the humble beginnings of a few avid readers meeting once a month in London in 2008, The Girly Book Club network now extends around the world and would be delighted to welcome you, wherever you are!

Book club for those who reside in Docklands, would like to meet up to discuss books and drink wine.
NOTE: The group is currently at capacity so is therefore closed to new members. If you are interested in joining, please check back from time to time as we may open membership again when fresh blood is required. *** A book club for those who are interested in reading and discussing the classics. Just to be able to have a chat over a coffee or a drink, and discuss, laugh, question and think about the stories and characters. We meet on the last Thursday of each month (there is no January meetup) a …

Hi All, Since I could not locate any book clubs in the south eastern area around Narre Warren, I thought I should set one up. I am not too fussed about the exact suburb. There will hopefully be sufficient people who want to catch up on anything reading.
A group for girls who love books, who'd like to meet, make friends with other Melbourne gals & get together on a regular basis to discuss various types of literature and what ever else takes our fancy. Venues will vary but generally take place in centrally located cafes, bars & restaurants (maybe even a picnic in a park when the weather permits). Basically anywhere we can enjoy some nice food / wine/ coffee and have a good natter! Meetups held monthly (preferably on a weekend afternoon). No lim …
We are a new book club, that is interested in attracting like-minded members who have a passion for reading! We plan to choose a different book each month to review, and meet up to discuss it in detail! Whilst the main aim of this group is to discuss the books we are reading, it's also about meeting new people, and having fun! The group will meet at "The Sporting Club Hotel" which has a great atmosphere (not too busy), tasty food, cool drinks, and plenty of nooks and crannies to discuss books in …
A group of women who read and discuss classics literature over a glass of wine in the St Kilda area. If you're like me and have a long list of un-read classics, please come along. To kick off, we will read Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. We will decide how to select the remaining books for the year at the first meeting in April. Please bring your list of must-read classics to the April meeting. Happy reading.

This meet-up is for people who make books, both writers and illustrators, and are interested in publishing their work by digital means. There are plenty of writing groups out there, so this group is focused on books with illustrations, be they graphic novels, kids books or anything using pictures and words to tell a story. How you make your books is up to you, but there will be an emphasis on using technology (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) in their creation. That said, if you still like to d …
Hey there, Welcome to Possibly the Best Book Club You'll Ever Join*. Sanna and I are both in our twenties, relatively new to Melbourne, and love books. We also both happen to love cats, seafood and potatoes. We met at a bookclub last year and bonded over the thought that we could do it better. This is the end result of that fateful meeting. We'll be reading primarily fiction (unless some unputdownable non-fiction crops up) and we'll be meeting once a month at the Rail Hotel in Windsor. It's go …
This book club is for lovers of the best books from each genre of fiction both classic and contemporary literature, and quality best sellers. Please note Members each contribute a $3 donation per meeting attended to contribute towards the costs of running the group. There is no expectation to come along every month. On average, the expectation to retain membership is that you will come along at a minimum every 3-4 months when a book comes up that interests you. We meet on the second Thursday o …

This book club is for people in their 20-30's who love to read and meet new people. We meet at a local pub, usually around St Kilda area to discuss the book over a cold beverage.
My girlfriend and I were new in town and wanted to join a book club, but they were all full so we decided to take matters into our own hands! The rules are: there are no rules. Except these, of course. - meetings around once monthly, - no genres off limit as long as the book's a good'un, - max of 15 people at any given meeting if we want things to stay managable.
I am wanting to start a book group in my area. I love reading books and it would be great to discuss these with other 20 somethings

Hi there my fellow Muggle!
I'm super excited that there's one more fan out there who's got some Potter love inside them. I'll just tell you a few things about this awesome group so you know what to expect.
We've been around since the beginning of Potter fandom. The group was started up by an incredible lady named Shannon on October 9, 2002 and over the years the main organisation of the meetups has since been passed on to other …

Are you interested in reading and would like to meet monthly to share your interest? This group is open to all women who want to get out of the house or have an excuse to leave the office and discuss books, and other topics that arise from discussion. The aim of the group is to meet like minded females who share a common interest in reading and discussion of books and to express their opinions, likes, dislikes, etc. We will meet out in pubs in cafes or restaurants over meals or drinks depending …
I love reading but hate driving all over Melbourne so I thought I'd start a local book club! I would have preferred to include all surrounding suburbs like Prahan and Toorak but I ran out of letters. If you are interested, let me know and I'll get something organised!
… Anyone wishing to donate, sell or exchange quality esoteric or wellbeing books or exchange services please let us know. Love & Light The Bohemian Soul team
