I love to read and am sure I can come up with a read, we could meet fortnightly, we would need to find a quiet pub somewhere we could go and discuss the book... If your interested great let me know or join up. Depending on numbers we could do a 1 pound per meeting, obviously there is a book cost involved but am sure we could source cheaply from somewhere..
I set this up as I need more motivation to read regularly !! If you are reading this, you probably do too !! Plus I would like to meet other readers to chat about the last book read - and what better place than in one of Henley's fine venues over a glass of something ! I see myself as the club founder not the leader, so choosing the book and the venue rotates across us all ... For the moment we feel we have enough members, as a Book Club can only be so big, as since setting this up in Jan 2011 …
There are few book groups in the area but they seem to be quite spiritual and intellectual. This club is a chance for like minded people to meet and discuss any topic of book we like. Every month, the group will decide on which book to read and we will meet once a month to discuss what we thought.
Although called Caversham Critics, this book group is open to all friendly Reading based fiction lovers. We shall explore old and modern classics, contemporary fiction, and perhaps even pretend to be judges by comparing our notes on the shortlists for the big literary prizes. We aim to meet monthly in a pub in central Reading. We are just getting started, so if the club sounds like your cup of tea, don't hesitate, join and spread the word!
Meet kindred book lovers at the Oxford Book Club meetup! This a friendly club, going strong, always open to new members. We have regular polls to select a book, and then meet (monthly) to express love, hatred or indifference! If you're interested, feel free to come and check out the next one.

We have been studying Napoleon Hill's book Think and Grow Rich for a year and realised that it would be great to mastermind with more like-minded people. The purpose of the group is to gain an in-depth understanding of the methods that are detailed in the book. As a group we decide what to read each week and come to the meeting to discuss and expand our knowledge using study notes. The meeting usually lasts 1.5 hours. This group would suit anyone who enjoys personal growth especially those who a …

This course aims to enable you to find that space.Naomi will guide participants through the stages outlined in the book, with practical work and progress shared within a small, …

I received direct communication from Source to start ACIM group. So I did. The group meets once a month in my home and the overall purpose is to discuss the principles of the course and application to daily life. Anyone is welcome from complete beginners to long-term students. For those with little knowledge of ACIM core principles may I suggest books such as: 1. Return To Love by Marianne Williamson 2. A talk given on ACIM An Introduction by Ken Wapnick 3. Disappearance of the Universe by Gar …

… My plan initially is to aim to organise a booking for the group every 4-6 weeks and go from there. My proposed starting restaurant is the Standard Tandoori on Caversham Road on the basis that it is well known, been around since 1980 and has a nice pub just up the road. Date and time above is provisional but I wanted to get something in the diary to hopefully encourage new joiners. This isn't intended to be 'my' group by the way, hopefully as more members join the group can be shaped to suit acco …

… He authored a book called "The Valley of Flowers" which unveiled the beauty and floral splendours of the valley and made the world sit up and watch. It was declared a national park in 1982, and now it is a World Heritage Site. The locals, of course, always knew of the existence of the valley, and believed that it was inhabited by fairies. The valley is home to many celebrated flowers like the Brahmakamal, the Blue Poppy and the Cobra Lily. It is a much sought after haunt for flower-lovers, botan …

Mainly a social group for those with an artistic or cultural bent, we generally meet monthly for a social event of drinks and dinner in the Windsor area, perhaps combined with a cultural or art event; though don't worry about the meetings being too high-brow, they're not. Join us and meet others who are interested in sharing all things social and cultural. The idea is to meet socially with other like-minded folk in a range of different venues in and around Windsor conducive to relaxed convers …
… Unlike many other groups, we do not have a membership fee, but we cover this cost and other expenses involved in running the group (such as advertising to attract new members, booking fees, telephone calls, etc), by charging £1 for each meetup event attended. We hope you will agree that £1 is a very reasonable charge for all the hard work that goes on in the background to make this group a success and continue to grow, and be happy to pass this amount to the Event Host when attending an event. …
… You may have read some books by or about Gurdjieff; however the only necessary requisit is to have a deeply felt question, difficult perhaps to quantify. For example many of us will feel a lack of meaning in ordinary life. In a group working together according to the principals of The Work, it becomes gradually possible to estabish a direction through the fog. If you are interested to join an Oxford Group studying this Teaching, please make contact by email, with some brief details about yourse …
