Our book club is different: We pick four books quarterly. Everyone nominates two books and then we vote for four books we want to read. Most picks wins. You can read any or no books. We discuss the books, the characters, the plot, our likes and dislikes and have fun doing it. What we don't do is discuss any book's ending until the end of the quarter. That way we don't ruin a book for someone. We can discuss the book somewhat as we are reading, we are careful not to divulge any plot secrets. …
This group is for all lovers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror literature. We will have monthly meetups to discuss that month's selection and polls to determine the book of the month. There are so many good books out there so I just wanted to find a group of people to discuss them with. Let's get together and talk about stuff we love to read!

Hello! We are an ongoing book club that was started about 5 years ago. All the members help select books and we have discussions about once a month! We choose both fiction and non finction books.
We are a weekly book club. The size of the book dictates how long we usually read the book. Typically we pick a new book every other week. Each group member rotates picking a book. We are always looking for more members and would love to have you come out and join us!

Initially we will explore "An Untethered Soul" by Michael Singer. This will provide the basis for discussion. The group is about living a soul-full life. It is about seeing yourself from different angles, moving past blocks that keep our life and life's patterns in place, really feeling free to live your life, free of all of that which "tethers" you. It is an amazing book and the discussion will be rich. This is for those interested in personal development, spiritual development, and designing a …

Socrates Café are gatherings around the world where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the central theme of Socratizing; the idea that we learn more when we question and question with others. This is an informal meetup for Objectivists, fans of Ayn Rand, or anybody else interested in learning more about her writings and philosophy. I was president of my campus Objectivism club in grad school, and having recently moved to Tallahassee, am eager to meet others of similar mind. Gatherings can include discussion over dinner, coffe, or beer (really!) about Objectivism and its relationship to current events. Other possibilities are movie viewings, readings of Rand's books or articles, or …
