We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm. Our meeting place is Barnes & Noble at Pima and Shea, located in the Fiesta Shopping Center, 10500 N. 90th St., Scottsdale, Arizona.

This is a group for ladies to meet up to discuss fabulous books and make some new friends over a drink or two! We will choose one book per month and have a monthly meeting to discuss it - rotating between a restaurant/wine bar or getting together at a home, depending on what we feel like. If you are interested in meeting new people, drinking some wine and reading some great books, you should join! We will mainly be reading fiction books, but could be open to other suggestions if the group really …
Do you love books for real women with a sense of humor? Do you love reading but don't want the pressure of reading a specific book every month? Do you want a positive, non-judgemental, open and comfortable group to discuss a variety of books? Are you looking for recommendations of books to read? Do you want to share opinions and insights on books you have read with a warm and accepting group? If you answer yes to any of these questions, then this is the group for you!
I obtained this book club idea from a meetup group I was a member of in Durham, North Carolina that I miss terribly. We read and discussed a book, but we always selected a restaurant that continued the theme (setting or main characters). We would also select books that were turned into movies and read the book first and then go see the movie. This book club welcomes men and women who are avid readers because it is a joy to hear a wide range of opinions regarding books.
Boys ages 7-13 getting together to discuss various genres of literature, foster a love of books, and encourage each other to try new adventures in reading. It's difficult to find groups of boys willing to say they love reading. Most are hesitant to try chapter books that may be interesting to them. I am a previous homeschooling mom looking for other moms who love childrens books and want to encourage their young men to enjoy reading by discussing their reading together. Plan to meet at local lib …

Since there is such a high demand for the "Chick Lit" Phoenix Book Club, I thought I would start another chick lit group in Scottsdale. This group is for women who enjoy the occasional "Sex and the City" type book. What woman has not found herself at least drawn into the television show?!? "Chick lit" is a term used to describe a genre of fiction that is written and marketed to young women. The genre especially targets young single, working women in their twenties and thirties; however the genr …

Want to get intrigued? Let's read notable women writers of mystery, suspense/thriller, and detective/crime fiction, from the classic works of Agatha Christie to the "modern" novels of other well or perhaps lesser known authors. Then let's discuss each book we've read (and whatever else comes up!) during a monthly dinner. You can have a look at a list of the books we've read so far here (http://tinyurl.com/7vcw6eq).
This meetup is now a private group not accepting new membership at this time. Meet kindred book lovers in a local Meetup Book Club! Womenly literature is meant to be talked about and shared. Come to meet great women and share a good book! See our tiny membership rules on the About Us page.
Looking to put together a group of like-minded Entrepreneurs to be thought partners and lead to greater successes. My thoughts is that we choose a beneficial book and between the book and our ideas, everyone will learn a little more at each meeting. Thoughts on meetup structure and book choices is welcome!
A part of the Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society this friendly group of people meets every third Tuesday to discuss a different science fiction selection. Meet some people with a common interest in SF and Fantasy literature. Haven't read the book? No biggie. Come on in and see what the rest of us think about it.
A book discussion group for young professionals focused on remaining well read held the first Monday of every month at the Scottsdale Civic Center Library!
Looking to make new friends and enjoy good books? I am! Looking to meet once a month (or less depending on length of group) at my home for food, drinks, and good conversation. Fiction, and select non-fiction books would be selected which we would vote on. Just an informal group of women who like to read, and like to chat even more ;-)
