Whether you are an avid book reader or just read a book every now and again this club is for you. I started this group so that I could have great conversations with other women about books that make us think, cry, dream or simply laugh. I enjoy recommending and lending books to my friends in exchange for their recommendations and book loans and would love to have more people to do this with. Books chosen will be by suggestion of members and are typically off the best-seller's list or "Oprah B …

A book club is a great way to meet new people and share opinions. I have found book clubs to be both intellectually stimulating and emotionally supportive. This is my second meetup book club and this group will be run by the memebers. There is a wide range of books all suggested by members. Anyone can suggest a meetup. If you have a book you would love to read/discuss then suggest a time and day for the meeting. Don't be shy, others will join you. I will try to help with the organizing end …
Valley Girls Tuesday Night Book Club is about enjoyable reading for women who want to experience good books--period. Doesn't matter the author, genre or medium. In fact, I would encourage you to try different media when reading. Try a book on CD/tape every once and a while--as long as it's unabridged. Makes those car rides go a lot faster! I'm not a slave to having the author be a woman or it necessarily even about being 'women's issues' (whatever those are) but would like to pick interesti …

The purpose of this group is to celebrate BOOKS of all kinds. We will read all genres, all authors, books for all ages, as long as they are good -- or as long as someone in the group thinks they are, any way!

Welcome to the Baby Boomers and Friends Book Club website. I'm excited and inspired with the potential of this group to enrich and empower the lives of Baby Boomers who find joy in reading books of all genres, meeting new people and having fun.* This is a book and social club of dynamic, diverse and progressive Baby Boomers. Our goal is to create a fun and inspiring community for book lovers. Our lively discussions include books and also specific topics of common interests and current events r …
I'd like to start a book club for women in their 30s living in Camarillo/Newbury Park/Thousand Oaks-ish. I've seen a lot of book clubs in Ventura County on meetup, but I'm new to the area and would love to meet ladies close to my age and close by! Although I'm titling this club "30s" I am open to members in their late 20s and early 40s as well. My proposed plan--a group of 10 or under (we'll see how it goes), meeting once per month to discuss books. We'll start in a public place but then hopeful …
Do you love reading books such as "Confessions of a Shopaholic", "Bridget Jones's Diary" and "The Devil Wears Prada"? Do you love reading books covered with shoes, fashion and funky female cartoons? Then you are probably a chick lit lover! Although not the most sophisticated of genres these types of books are fun, humorous and relate to most of our everyday lives. Not all of us are interested in reading the classics and that's okay because this club is for women ages 20-infinite that want to mee …

We are here to make new friends through books. We meet up regularly at a restaurant, a cafe, a park etc. to exchange books with each other. If you have any book you already read and you are ready to give it away, bring it with you to our next meetup, get a new book and connect with new friends!! Along our book connection with each other's great company, let's also enjoy some great food in a restaurant, or at a picnic. We are currently reading the following book and we will be having meetups to d …
There is a seemingly endless supply of books on the writing craft, so instead of feeling guilty because I'm working or doing the laundry instead of reading an enlightening book on the craft, I thought I'd set up an actual monthly time and place to fulfill this need and have writers to talk to about the book! We will read everything from books on writing fiction to poetry to screenwriting. Whatever catches our fancy that month. I'd like to find organizers in several areas of the city, then we can …
I love all kinds of books, but especially Science Fiction and Fantasy. When I finish a really good book, I love to be able to discuss some of the ideas the author introduced, check my understanding of some of the plot twists and character development, and generally just say how much I liked or hated the book. If you would also like to discuss new books, ideas and authors with SF&F fans, this group is for you! Join us each month for a new book, decided by poll.
The UCLA Anderson MBA alumni history book club is now being opened to kindred spirits amongst the public. We are predominately business people who enjoy reading and discussing history books in a congenial atmosphere rather than expert historians. We generally meet in the Valley at a restaurant (tied to the theme of the book if possible) for lunch on a weekend every 2 to 3 months. If you're interested in history books and would like a chance to network, please join us.

Welcome to the Fabulous Divas' Book Club! If you enjoy thought-provoking discussions, love and appreciate the diversity of Black life and culture, and you are a woman who enjoys meeting new people, then this is the group for you. My hope is to create a platform that promotes and supports Black literature by all writers, with a focus on celebrated Black authors, such as Toni Morrison, Richard Wright, Edwidge Danticat. We will be reading fiction and non-fiction books, classic works of the past/ …

Join us every month for chatter, tea, and a wee bit o' death thrown in. We now meet on the third Saturday of each month. Location varies - check events on calendar for details.
Every month a book is selected for discussion, but if the selected book is not "your cup of tea" attend anyway and bring in your current reading to share with the whole group.
Don't be shy!
… Let's meet once a month to discuss the book and how we can apply it to our lives. There is a meeting fee of $1 to help cover the cost of the annual fees. "Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond." - Charles R. Swindoll
