Hello to all you Lovely Ladies out there! This Book Club is for women who love spending time with the girls. It's about building friendships, spending quality time with fantastic women, and reading & discussing some great books. :-)
I started this group because I love to read Sci-Fi and Fantasy books, but I rarely have anyone to discuss them with. I've only been in CT for a few months, and I would love to meet like-minded individuals that I can have fun with and also share my love for the fantastical.

We started as a book group that wanted to look beyond the pages that are right in front of us. We decided to expand our reach to do some good in the world by creating the Central CT chapter of Room to Read, a nonprofit dedicated to building libraries and improving literacy in developing countries. As one of 53 Room to Read chapters around the world, our main goal is to raise money for the organization. But we also want to have some fun and meet new people through book swaps, wine tasting events, …
Meet kindred book lovers in a local Meetup Book Club! Fiction or non-fiction, paperback or hardcover, you'll read a new book every month. Come to laugh, share stories and make new friends!

Life is nutty. As an active parent and community member, I find it hard to get all the spiritual food and fellowship I need, and my nights are booked! Looking to get together with others who yearn for more of that soul nourishing time with other Christians to (loosely) discuss a pre-set book once or twice a month over lunch.
Do you love to read? Do you overtax your brain from 9-5 and want to let it out for some fun? This is the book club for you. Selections will, of course, go according to the group's choices but will offer reading that is fun and relaxing to read. Meetups will be casual dinner locations and focus on social as well as discussional.
The first rule of the Cult Fiction Club: you do not talk about the Cult Fiction Club. What is a cult book? 1. A book that is not a bestseller, or has been out of print for some time. 2. A book that inspires a small but vocal following. 3. A book that touches on topics that are in some way unusual, different, outre, even dangerous. 4. A book that inspires change, thought or action. 5. A book that is, above all else, well written. The Cult Fiction Club will select two books for discussion every …

Do people look at you funny when your response to “Who’s your favorite author” is Jane Austen? This group is designed to unite true lovers of Jane, or possible lovers of Jane, by reading her books, watching her movies, and discussing anything Regent.

… To help beginners get 'up-to-speed', we ask that you --- PLEASE READ/LISTEN TO AT LEAST THE FIRST BOOK BEFORE YOU COME TO YOUR FIRST MEETING --- 1) The Secret (the book not movie) by Rhonda Byrne (best on CD since there are numerous contributors to the book that speak in their own voice on the CDs) 2006 2) Ask and It Is Given - book by Abraham-Hicks (best as a book since the whole last half of the book is exercises that are very creative and helpful, so it is easier to r …

… It’s reassuring to know that you have a nice group of peers to seek advice from, share stories of our little ones’ victories, trade books and reading materials, recipes, ideas, etc. I plan to form a group library too (it’s crazy that we all buy the same books to read once). I want to extend a special invitation to all the parents who feel "different" in any way (um, within reason); whether it's your status as a single parent, your religious beliefs (or lack thereof), your non-traditional par …

Starting this group to connect with others who want to read and discuss the Bhagavad Gita and be supported in spiritual community. At each meetup, we'll read specific verses and an unfoldment that not only makes them highly accessible--to both Indians and Westerners--but also connects the teaching to daily life. My experience is that it is both practical and transformative. If you practice yoga, kirtan, or meditation and would like to know the teaching behind them, or if you read on your own, co …
