We started as a book group that wanted to look beyond the pages that are right in front of us. We decided to expand our reach to do some good in the world by creating the Central CT chapter of Room to Read, a nonprofit dedicated to building libraries and improving literacy in developing countries. As one of 53 Room to Read chapters around the world, our main goal is to raise money for the organization. Do you love to read? Do you overtax your brain from 9-5 and want to let it out for some fun? This is the book club for you. Selections will, of course, go according to the group's choices but will offer reading that is fun and relaxing to read. Meetups will be casual dinner locations and focus on social as well as discussional.

Join us for meet ups centered on meditation and healing, from various Sufi traditions. Everyone is welcome, and all paths are honored and encouraged to participate. If this sounds new to you, all the more reason to come! A typical evening involves a chanting meditation, about an hour long, followed by an opportunity to reflect and share.
