I've been part of an awesome women's book club in Augusta, GA for the past few years, but now that I live in Aiken, SC I've found it so hard to make it to those meetings - they can be up to an hour away and that's really tough to do on a school night. We are well on our way to creating something similar here in Aiken. Our first book club meeting will take place at the end of August 2013. Why don't you join us?

This group is for ladies around Athens that love a good book and wine. We'll get together and discuss books, and of course, drink wine. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I believe that a few of the elements of a happy life are friends, good books, and a little pampering. As a new to the area massage therapist I thought a book club would be a great place to meet people. But why stop there? If you could go out to meet your book club and have the option to get a foot massage and learn about the latest in health, wellness, beauty and other goodies while you chat about good reads wouldn't that me more fun? I mean you can read at home, but pampering calls for reinforc …
I started this group to gauge interest in a women's book club for the Lexington area. The club would follow a typical book club format. The group would agree on a book to read each month (majority rules) and then meet at a local restaurant to discuss the book and socialize. No dues yet, so please join if you are interested!
This is more of a reader's club than a book club. Instead of reading the same book and discussing it, members talk about books they have read. You can also bring books to trade or lend. We hope to also have trips to hear favorite authors and attend events. Given that gore, romance, erotica, and adult topics may be discussed, we don't recommend bringing children.

Listen up ladies! If you enjoy discussing great books over yummy cocktails and delicious appetizers, then you have found the right group! ABC club is for women only (sorry guys!) and will meet once a month to hold a book discussion, and share in a yummy potluck gathering including appetizers (finger foods) and beverages (can be of the ‘adult’ variety, but doesn’t necessarily have to be). This is Katherine's original vision for this club: "Here's my vision of a great book club: a smallish and diverse group of intellectually active women who can commit to reading a book a month (more or less) and making time to get together to discuss. I see the books being a mix of fiction and non-fiction - from classics to bestsellers, including some serious works and the occasional fluff piece. We do one book-related meetup a month and will occasionally have a social-only meetup. All are welcom …

The Bible is a single-volume collection of several historical texts that were composed over a period of many hundreds of years. The collection as a whole (or certain subsets thereof) is considered by Jews and Christians to be sacred, thus making it difficult to have a discussion of the Bible with many who are already familiar with it. This group is for those who wish to take an unbiased, secular approach to these texts. In a traditional Bible study, the purpose is to discover God's word through …

I will never forget the day I said bye-bye to chemically treated hair and decided to go with "my natural hair." We have come a long way and this meetup site was born to addr …

Calling all lesbians in Columbia and surrounding areas! This is a group for socializing and making new friends. We all know that the bar scene is great for the occasional night out, but it's not always for everybody. Or for their partners who are working on the car in the driveway or watching football. Or for those who don't fit the stereotype …

Since relocating to Statesboro a few years ago and repeatedly inquiring of a mature singles group in town, no dominant name or group was ever mentioned. I checked the papers, checked with local churches, checked with other singles, and the half smile while thinking accompanied with the gentle left, right, left nod of the head became the reoccurring answer. Continuing to search after dozens of interviews, the majority voiced the same disappointment and supported the need for an alternative venue …
