This is a book club that is deriving from my love for reading books from black expressions over the last few years. I love to read and what I am missing is having people to dialogue with about the book. Even though the books that will be read will be through Black Expressions, we are open to other books. This is an OPEN group for all interested people. We will meet every other week to discuss the book. I will choose the first 3 books and then we will rotate a book amongst the members. The meetin …

Hi Ladies! I have been in several book clubs around metro Atlanta, and while I love them, I have yet to find one in Cumming...and it is REALLY hard for me to get to a book club on a Monday night in Marietta. Buford is the closest I have found. So I figure, let's see how many ladies are close by that would like to read good books and meet nearby! I really enjoy reading great books and meeting new girls - with a glass of wine!

Have you ever thought about making the book that you are reading come to life? We parents help create exciting adventures for our children. The kids get to use their imaginations and creativity at every event. I love to read and I believe that it is an essential part of life. Reading can take you away to another world a …

Welcome to the Hindi Bindi book club! The focus will be reading books written by South Asian authors or books about south asia. The books will either be written in English or be translated in English. This is a great opportunity to connect to other South East Asians and learn more about that part of the world. You by no means have to be from South East Asia, just willing to learn. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns. Looking forward to meeting you!! Bhavna
After belonging to other reading groups with much younger members I have come to realize that my life experiences and theirs are vastly different. Being separated by several generations means you will have a very different take on the books you read. That would be fine if the younger people were open-minded enough to consider that I may know what I'm talking about when discussing housewives from the 50's. After all, my mother was one of them. But they did not do that. They simply fed me the part …

Welcome to the "Books & Brunch" Meetup Group! This is a private group comprised of people I know personally. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of odd months (January, March, May, July, September, and November) at 11:00 a.m. at my home for potluck brunch and a discussion of that month's selection. Books are chosen from various subgenres of nonfiction, such as biography, memoir, history, science, philosophy, criticism, commentary, essays, and humor, to name a few. Selections include classics as well as …
I'm starting this group because one of my New Years resolutions was to start reading the classics, from Epic of Gilgamesh to The Iliad to Pride and Prejudice to Slaughterhouse Five. All the truly great pieces of literature that I've missed. I thought it would be much more fun to have a group reading together so that we could discuss and delve into the books (or just meet for coffee and talk about whether we like the book or not). I belong to other book clubs for modern literature, but the cla …
The Atlanta Comic Book Discussion Group is just what it sounds like- a place to talk about all of the great things going on in the world of comics! Whether you're a fan of DC, Marvel, or any other publisher, we are happy to talk about why you love the books and characters you read about. Become a member of the group and join the discussion!
… I plan to use Paul Gravett's Graphic Novels as a main source for book selection, though would consider any suggestions along the way.

This is a group of women in their mid-to-late 20's and 30's meeting to discuss best-selling fiction (with a little chick-lit thrown in!) while socializing with new people. We'll be meeting once a month on a Sunday afternoon to drink coffee, tea, or wine at a cafe in the Perimeter area while we enjoy each other's company and discuss the latest books. So take a break from your jobs, leave the guys at home, and come join a great group of women once a month for some great conversation and fun!

We began as a group inspired by Gretchen Rubin's book, website and blog, THE HAPPINESS PROJECT. However, the Happiness Project Book seems to be a second step, many of us need to define what we would like to work on Martha Beck’s book “FINDING YOUR OWN NORTH STAR - claiming the life you were meant to live”, addresses this. We have regrouped and tweaked our plan a bit and will be adding in Beck’s book. We have finished that book and are now moving onto "The Way of the Happy Woman - Living the Best …
