We are an organization of atheists, agnostics, skeptics and other freethinkers based in Charleston, South Carolina. Please note that not all of us have accounts on Meetup.com. From the RSVPs here, it may look as if only a handful of people are planning to attend, but our regular monthly meetings usually draw between 20 and 50 people. The book group meetings usually draw 10 to 15.

We are new to West Ashley and have had trouble finding a book discussion group for newcomer couples over 55 so we decided to try forming one. We are transplants from MN in our early 60's and want to find 6 to 8 couples who are avid readers like ourselves and will read and discuss a wide range of authors of both fiction and non-fiction. I think 2 meetings per month would be good unless that proves to be too often.
