I am a high school biology teacher who would like to have extra motivation to read science-related books and discuss them outside of school. These wouldn't be textbooks, they would be more "popular science" that are educational and entertaining as well! Authors will include Richard Dawkins, Natalie Angier, E.O. This is a group for women over 40 who are interested in meeting and discussing a book of the month over a cup of coffee, glass of wine or a beer. This is a time for us to have a short break from our husbands, kids, pets, and all responsibilities--some "me" time to have enjoyable discussions about the book we've read as a group. I'm more interested in meeting out, but if others prefer, we can also meet at each others' homes (but that's more work!).
